Safety
SAFETY, BUILT INTO EVERY JOURNEY.
RideNova is being built before it is being launched, and safety is part of the build rather than a policy added afterwards. This page sets out what is checked before a captain drives, what a rider can see and share while a trip is running, and what happens when something goes wrong.
The journey
SAFETY AT EVERY STAGE OF THE TRIP.
A trip has three parts, and each one has its own failure modes. We design for them separately: identity and price before the wheels turn, visibility while they are turning, and a record you can act on once they stop.
- 01
Before the trip
Nothing begins until both sides know exactly who they are meeting, and at what price.
Captain and vehicle shown up front
The moment a trip is accepted, the captain's name, photo and vehicle appear on your screen — before anyone arrives.
Number plate to check at the kerb
The registration shown in the app is the one to match against the vehicle. If it does not match, the trip should not start.
Upfront fare and route
Price and route are shown before you confirm, so there is nothing to negotiate at the roadside and no meter to watch.
- 02
During the trip
The journey stays visible — to you, to someone you choose, and to support if it is ever needed.
Live map tracking
Your position, the captain's and the planned route sit on one live map for the length of the journey.
Share the trip
Send a live link so someone you trust can follow the route to the door, then watch it expire when you arrive.
Route and stop checks
Long stops and large detours are flagged automatically, so support can check that a trip is going as planned.
- 03
After the trip
A journey is not finished at the drop-off. The record, the fare and the follow-up all stay in the app.
Itemised receipt
Fares are settled in the app and written to a receipt you can reopen later, with the route and the vehicle attached.
Ratings both ways
Riders rate captains and captains rate riders. Persistently low-rated accounts on either side are reviewed by our team.
Support and lost items
Raise a concern or report something left behind from the trip in your history — the details come attached to the request.
Verification
WHAT WE CHECK BEFORE A CAPTAIN DRIVES.
Onboarding a captain is a document review, done in a fixed order. Each step has to be complete before the next one opens, and an account cannot accept a single trip until all four are on file.
This describes the onboarding process RideNova is building for launch. It is a review of documents — not a certification, an accreditation, or a partnership with any authority, and we make no such claim. No screening process can guarantee an outcome, which is why the tools further down this page exist.
- 01
Identity
A captain submits government-issued photo identification. The name is matched against the account, and the photograph against the profile picture riders will see.
- 02
Driving licence
A valid licence is submitted and read for holder name, vehicle category and expiry date. A licence that does not cover the vehicle a captain intends to drive is not accepted.
- 03
Vehicle registration
Registration, insurance and permit documents are submitted for the specific vehicle. The registration number on those documents becomes the number shown to riders in the app.
- 04
Re-checks on expiry
Documents lapse. When one is close to its expiry date, the captain is asked to re-submit, and an account cannot take trips on paperwork that has run out.
Emergency assistance
WHEN A TRIP STOPS FEELING RIGHT.
Help should never require explaining where you are. Emergency assistance is designed to open from inside the trip screen, with the context of the journey already gathered — so the first thing you have to do is the only thing that matters.
What travels with the request
- Your live location and the route travelled so far
- The trip reference, vehicle and registration number
- The captain assigned to the trip
- Any emergency contacts you have saved to your account
RideNova’s in-app assistance is designed to sit alongside the emergency services in your city, never to replace them.
Illustrative — not a working control
Safety
SAFETY, BUILT INTO EVERY JOURNEY.
Every safeguard below is part of the RideNova product design — built into the trip itself rather than bolted on afterwards. Choose one to see where it lives in the app.
Sample interface
Driver verification
Every captain completes identity, licence and vehicle document checks before their first trip.
Illustrative interface preview — sample data, not a live trip.
Support and grievance
Around the clock
WHEN THE APP IS NOT ENOUGH.
Buttons on a trip screen only reach as far as the people behind them. India’s 2025 aggregator framework sets out what those people have to be — and RideNova treats the list as the floor rather than the finish.
Required at launch
A control room that keeps hours the road keeps
Trips do not stop at six in the evening, so the team watching them cannot either. Round-the-clock monitoring and a reachable support line are part of what has to be standing before the first city opens — not added once volume justifies it.
Registered before launch
A named grievance officer
When rider or captain support has answered and the answer is not right, a complaint escalates to a named officer with a published address and a defined response window. The name and the window are published before service begins.
Being built
Complaints that leave a trail
Every report is logged against the trip it concerns, with the route, the vehicle and the captain attached, so the person reviewing it is not relying on either side's recollection.
Standing commitment
What we will not claim
No platform can promise a safe outcome, and this one does not. These are processes and tools, checked and improved on evidence — which is why reporting what went wrong matters as much as any feature on this page.
Report a concern
Something didn’t feel right? Tell us.
Safety work only improves on evidence. If a captain, a vehicle or a trip gave you pause — before launch or after it — write to our team with what happened, and we will follow it up.
For anything urgent while a trip is running, use emergency assistance in the app rather than this form.

Pre-launch
READY TO MOVE?
Your city is waiting.
Set your destination, see the fare before you confirm, and follow the car from the moment it turns your way.
- For riders
- Practical choices, transparent journeys and simple booking — bikes, autos and cabs in one account.
- For drivers
- A platform built around better economics and support: a flat plan instead of a cut of every fare.
RideNova has not launched yet. Availability opens one city at a time — Hyderabad is marked “Coming soon”, and it is the only city we are naming.
